Movin' On Up
Kind of some bittersweet news today: Memphis as we know it will soon hold the title of our "former" home--I have accepted a technical support position with Dell in Nashville, and we now have 90 days to begin our transition. Leah and both LOVE Nashville, and we have frequently said that if the opportunity ever arose, we would jump at the chance. Although every city certainly has it's problems, we feel like the city as a whole, the school system, the economy, etc. are all much better there. And we'll be exactly half way between Memphis and Louisville (where all of our parents and grandparents are).
Leah will most likely be pursuing a head teller job with either AmSouth or Regions--two of the more prominent banks in the city. She is excited for not only the promotion, but for the change of scenery. My part-time real estate career will be easy as well, since Crye-Leike established itself in Nashville several years ago--not nearly has large market-share as Memphis, but a significant player in the real estate community.
I promise that the blog will go on, keeping you updated as things progress. That's our commitment to you. We will miss you greatly, but be comforted that we're only 200 miles away. And it'll make it easier should we ever get Titans season tickets. : )

But admit it, deep inside, you wish this was true.
LOL....Yep, IMO every word of it IS true--except the jobs. We've talked about a move to Nashvegas many times, and it wouldn't take much to push us over the edge (figuratively speaking). But for now, we love to drive our moms nuts by even suggesting such.
Man, I bought this hook line and sinker. I was even getting ready to look for your phone number and call you. Good one.
It was really believable too. Last year when I was doing temp work between semesters, I actually interviewed for a Dell tech support position, and almost received an offer. And you are far ahead of me in terms of computer skills. So if you really wanted to move to Nashville, you could...
