Saw a license plate tonight that I had to get a picture of....Steve, somebody's thrown down the gauntlet!!

OMG!! I read Steven's blog and I jsut happened by yours. That's by husband's license plate!! He is a huge fan of NC State. He has several rooms in our house dedicated to the place. He absolutely hates UNC. No baby blue is allowed in our house. thankfully we have two girls. I can't wait to show this to him.
That is by far the ugliest license plate I have ever seen on a car. I cannot help but think that the re-sale on that car went way down when that was applied.
NC State? Really? Seriously?
They have a coach that couldn't cut it with the Grizzlies.
And no baby blue in the house? I think he is just jealous of the titles and talent up the road at Chapel Hill.
Ummmm, ugliest? Nope. Can't say I agree on that. The ugliest would be the University of Tennessee plates. See, he might hate UNC, but I despise with a passion even greater of UT and most of their fans. Our house is tribute in red and white. The NCSU fans are a dedicated bunch, unlike the "Walmart UNC" fans... Yes, I said it. Go ahead, refute it. You can't! You won't find NC State wear at a Walmart. Only UNC. And not just in NC. There are more fair-weather fans for UNC than pretty much any other collegiate team, especially in the ACC. Been a fan all your life, then I have a bit if respect for you. But just been a fan since they won a NCAA tournament? That's a Walmart fan.
Plus, I look much better in NCSU red than baby blue...

I became a UNC fan back in the JR Reid, Pete Chilcutt, JEff Lebo days. My next foor neighbor was an older guy I looked up to growing up. He was a UNC fan, so I thought I better be one too. So I became a fan.
And I have pulled for them ever since. In baseketball, football, baseball, women's hoops and soccer.
I am an all out fan. With all the gear to prove it.
And as for Wal-Mart fans...

Yeah. Um. Sometimes that happens when you are finally confronted with the truth.
As far as dressing the part, Steve isn't lying. As a matter of fact, he sometimes would wear a light blue UNC shirt while perched on the end of the court at Grizzlies games, shooting for Action News 5. If I'm not mistaken, Shane Battier started messing with him, calling him, "Carolina" and generally giving him a hard time.
BTW, you'll were eating at Sweet Peppers when I took the pic. I almost never have my digital camera with me, but did that night. I told my wife, "I've gotta take a pic of that license plate for Steve."
